Here’s Felicia Day’s MTV I’ve been telling you about. It’s has a nice catchy melody, it’s sexy, it’s fun, and may put you in the last song syndrome mood. Well, the song kept on playing in my head the first time I heard of it.

It’s a weekend once again and today I will start featuring “Certified Hot Geeks”. That’s right, geeks aren’t social outcasts anymore. A lot of them have greatly contributed something to society. In fact, they have contributed so much that they’ve even became millionaires due to these contributions.

The first “Certified Hot Geek” I would like to introduce is Felicia Day. Now, what makes her a geek? Well, according to her Wikipedia entry, she went straight from home schooling to college at an early age. She chose to double major in mathematics and violin at the University of Texas at Austin despite having been accepted to the Juilliard School of Music. She graduated with the highest honors, having a 4.0 GPA. She was also a National Merit scholar in 1995. Now if that’s not geek enough for you, I don’t know what is.

Day pursued a career in acting and moved to Los Angeles after she graduated. She did several independent movies, as well as guest spots on television and commercials. These propelled her to larger roles, having played a bit part in the film “Bring it On Again,” starring as a headliner in “June,” and a shooting a recurring role as a potential vampire slayer in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (a role which I’m sure makes male vampire geeks salivate).

Felicia Day was also the creator, writer, and star of the sitcom web series, “The Guild” which has won her prestigious awards from numerous award giving bodies. In the web series, she plays Cyd Sherman A.K.A. Codex, an online game addict. In real life, Felicia Day is an avid online gamer and plays World of Warcraft (for which I give her a million geek points). “The Guild” is on it’s third season and has a deal with Microsoft where she now receives financial remuneration for her and her crew. She also created a song and a music video for “The Guild”, featuring the cast dressed up as their in-game characters. Felicia Day looks deliciously hot in this video. The title of the song is “(Do You Want to Date My) Avatar.”

As you can see, Felicia Day is a certified geek with a lot of accomplishments. She is intelligent, pretty, and a Certified Hot Geek!
