Most people consider dating an art. That got the founders of InnoDating.com thinking… if dating is an art, what is online dating? For our answer, we considered the relationships between other forms of art and their online transmutations.  Compare, for example, the luscious linguistic twitterings of a Shakespeare to the languid linguistic degradations of a Tweeter.  Compare the master strokes of a Michelangelo to the layer strokes of a Photoshopper. Compare Beethoven’s Ninth to the nine YouTube videos a week posted by some kid with an acoustic guitar covering a Coldplay song.  We get it… “Clocks” is easy to play on guitar.  You don’t have to share your rendition with the world!

What we’re suggesting is if dating is an art, than when dating goes online, just like any art form, we should expect it to suffer the same degradations of quality. We’re not judging – we know none of us are the second coming of Alexander Pope (though in some cases, the physical comparisons might be eerily similar), but this World Wide Web thingy lets us publish whatever drivel we want. And that’s the reality of living in the digital age… we’re forced to accept the inherent byproduct of allowing anyone with a cell phone  the 24-hour ability to broadcast themselves to the world; we’re forced to accept that art no longer has a cultural filter.

The byproduct of the digital age on dating is more online dating websites than you’ll ever want to count (trust us… we tried… it’s not worth it). The problem is, while finding a person to date should be as easy as finding a good dating website, it isn’t. Hell, finding a good dating website isn’t even easy.
