Photo Angles, An Online Dating Trick

by Billy on November 16, 2009

Hello, this is your Online Date Man ready to talk to you about profile photos again! This time, I won’t preach about using old pictures as an absolute no-no. For now, we will talk about another way of fooling your potential date. And no, I’m not even talking about photoshopping your picture.

Another way of cheating how you look like in a picture is the use of camera angles. There’s nothing wrong with taking pictures of your best angle, this is perfectly alright. What I’m trying to drive at is, don’t use angles to hide what you really look like. Look, if you meet your online date in person and he or she discovers that you look nothing like your picture, then your date would really be disappointed. Yes, you got your foot in the door, but that door is likely going to be slammed in your face. And I promise you it is going to hurt – a lot.

When this happens you can’t accuse your online date as being shallow. Why? You lied to your online date in the first place! Ok, let’s analyze the situation. The fact that you will use camera angles to change how you look like is because you don’t like your original appearance in the first place. Now, if you yourself don’t like your looks, how can you expect others to like them?

And let’s be clear on this. Humans are designed to change and to adapt. If you feel that you don’t look great, then go through a make-over. If you feel that you are really fat, then go through a weight loss program. Do these things to make yourself feel better and for the obvious health reasons. You think your face is riddled with acne? Go to a dermatologist. If you think you have a set of crooked teeth, then an orthodontist is just waiting for you at his clinic.

If you think that these are expensive indulgences, then get a second job, save, and live within your means. I tell you, looking good and feeling great can boost your confidence. And when your confidence is up, your online dating life will flourish. You can’t put a price tag on that.

If they like what they see, then great! If they don’t, then they’re not worth your time and attention. I’ll see you again for more online dating tips. Happy dating!
