Hi, your Online Date Man was thinking about what the best approach was to get to know someone you aren’t acquainted with yet. So I asked some guys on some unique ideas they could think of or share the stuff they’ve done to introduce themselves to a stranger. So I called friends, asked my poker buddies, grilled my social network pals, did ambush interviews with random guys walking down the street, and the like. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get interesting answers worthy enough for me to publish here.
So, I changed my strategy. Instead of asking the guys point-of-view (guys who were obviously clueless about romance), I stalked women for their input. And, surprisingly, I got a lot of intriguing ideas from them. Some ideas were inspired by actual experiences, while some strategies were just fantasies on how they ideally wanted to be approached by a total (hot) stranger – stalkers need not apply.
Allow me to share some of their thoughts .
“My husband is a really nice person. I was a bank teller back then. He was one of our clients and was great at being nice, courteous, and complementing anyone who’s done a great job or being particularly complement-worthy – no matter how trivial. In short, my husband can make you feel great about yourself. He brings out the best in anyone. And he really gives sincere complements and not just to flatter. Plus, he’s got the most generous and beautiful smiles I’ve ever seen. These are the reasons why I said yes when he asked me out, and why I said ‘I do’ at the altar on our wedding day.” – Rebecca-
“My boyfriend was a real romantic. He was the best friend of an office colleague and he visited the office one time to give him something. At the same time, we were introduced. The next day, all the women in our office received a rose, including me, since it was Valentine’s Day. But everyone received a red rose except me. Mine was white and only mine had a note on it. Everyone was so curious as to the identity of the mystery man who gave the lovely flowers that all eyes were on me. Clearly, they wanted me to use the note to solve the mystery. The note just said, ‘All the ladies here deserve to be given flowers, but this particular flower deserves you more. My intentions are pure and I’d like to know you more.’ I can remember that some of the girls were quite jealous because they didn’t receive the white one.
